Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support Course (PHTLS)

PHTLS is a 2-day scenario based course designed to provide participants with an understanding of the anatomy & physiology of the body systems and the kinematics of trauma. The course provides an understanding of the importance of rapid assessment, an overview of the treatment for multi-system trauma patients, and the knowledge and skills of pre-hospital trauma interventions. The course is designed to promote critical thinking skills in first providers. This course aligns with the National Association of Emergency Medical Technician (NAEMT) guidelines.
