WestMed College to Host Free Health and Wellness Day on Saturday August 13 in San Jose

SAN JOSE, CALIF. –  WestMed College, an affiliate of the National University System, will be hosting a free “Health and Wellness Day” from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 13, 2011 at the College’s campus located at 3031 Tisch Way in San Jose, CA 95218.

WestMed College, a leader in training people in the fields of vocational nursing, paramedics and emergency medical technicians (EMTs), will be joined at the “Health and Wellness Day” by the National Holistic Institute (NHI), which offers a world-class program teaching a variety of massage forms, including Swedish, Shiatsu, Deep Tissue and more, and Five Branches University Graduate School of Traditional Chinese Medicine, which offers training in herbs and acupuncture, one of the fastest growing forms of healthcare in the United States.

WestMed College will offer free blood pressure readings and tours of a fully functioning ambulance at the “Health and Wellness Day.” NHI will provide free chair massages, while Five Branches University will offer a free health assessment, diagnosis and acupuncture treatment, as well as complimentary Three Free Treatment coupons at its Teaching Clinic.
